UNMUTE! is a month-long generative workshop for writers at all levels. Each week, participants will meet LIVE with Brendan Constantine for 90 minutes, during which we’ll discus and explore approaches to poetry, its history and future, and discover ways to practice perpetual astonishment. Each class will end with at least one ‘no-pressure’ assignment, designed to liberate your own style. This is not a class where you learn to write like someone else.
Enroll Now “Only the future knows art.” – Julianna McCarthy
Sept. 14th, 21st, 28th, and Oct. 5th
This workshop includes: Weekly 90-minute live writing discourse lead by Brendan Constantine. Q&A with Brendan to review each session. Exclusive ‘Asynchronistic’ study plans. An opportunity for writing and performance coaching and feedback. Private Facebook group for questions, sharing, and feedback during the week. Extra resources, prompts and projects to keep you working after the credits roll. What you can expect: Expect to reduce the velocity of life to the stillness of art. Expect to write lots of poems. Expect to surprise yourself with poetry you didn’t know you’d written. Expect to discover – again and again – that while poetry may be an ‘ancient art,’ it’s still quite young and there is much still to be tried. Expect to be the one to try.
